Yes this year round two is based on seeds.
Eg. We might see Phi vs. NYI and TBL vs. BOS in the east...
From another thread..."Tampa v. Boston in round 2 is going to be a doozy!" Is this correct?
But according to this Bos vs Isles/Caps winner. And Bolts vs Philly/Habs winner.

Or are the round 2 match-ups in a state of flux depending on who wins the remaining series.
Starting to think about picks for next round.
Thanks guys.
Sorry Pool Rules in Sig don't apply.
SOME POOL RULES. Points only (G-1, A-1). One year Hybrid Pool. 3 round draft with balance of roster selected from any undrafted NHLer.. 19F 4 D 2 Rooks SALARIES AND POSITIONS DO NOT MATTER (other than being a F or D). NO Inter-Team Trading, Bench or Minors. Our WAIVER WIRE is ANY player in the NHL who is not Drafted in our league's 3 round draft. Each manager gets 6 ADD/DROPS (TRADES) for the year...any player on roster can be TRADED for any unDrafted F/D/R from ANY NHL team. INJURY RULE "IR". A hurt player can be replaced by another F/D from HIS NHL team and this is NOT considered a trade.. Injured player can be put back on team any time.

Thanks striderz. I have been confused by the seed thing.
The brackets on that NHL site I linked to are Wrong?...they show Vegas vs Aves in round 2 but they are #1 & #2 seeds in the West so will NOT be playing each other
this round, right? I may be getting the hang of this now lol. Thanks
For the NHL bracket you shared, notice how they have not advanced the winning team into the second round yet. They've only shaded out the losing team in round 1. Once round 1 is over they will update the round 2 of that bracket. So in a way what they're showing is not incorrect.. just confusing.
Brackets are re-seeded each round with the highest seed remaining getting the lowest seed remaining. There is no "bracket" in that regard.
In the West we know Vegas and Colorado will NOT play each other but the match-ups depend on who advances in the Calgary-Stars series.
In the East all we know is Tampa is thru and cannot play Philadelphia if the Flyers also advance.

Wouldnt CGY (6) play Vegas (1) if they beat DAL (3)? Then if VAN (5) wins they would play COL (2). VAN (5) would play Vegas (1) if DAL (3) beats CGY (6), and DAL (3) would play COL (2).
WEST - Vegas will play the lowest seed and Colorado will play the other team.
EAST - too many permutations until PHI/MTL sorted.

To update...with Calgary and the Caps OUT.
In the West....2-Aves vs 3-Dallas and 1-VGK vs (4-Blues or 5-Canucks).
In the East...
If Philly Wins...1-Philly vs 6-NYI and 2-Bolts vs 3-Bruins
If Habs Win.....2-Bolts vs 8-Habs and 3-Bruins vs 6-NYI
Is this correct. Thanks. And Thanks for the previous replies.

The graphic on the NHL.com site is not actually displaying the brackets. It's just a random bracket graphic.
We know now that the West will be Colorado/Dallas and Vegas/winner of Vancouver/StL.
