Who do you prefer? And how much do you think each resigns at?

    Both are going bridge deals.

I think that Kubalik signs a 3 yr deal with an avg of 2.3 million to 2.8 million.

Olofsson is going after just a 2 yr bridge deal. With an avg of 2.2 to 2.5 million.

Both of them are going to need to prove it some more before either signs a deal of 5 or more years.

I think both get more than you're going to like. Kubalik in the $5M range, and Olofsson not much below that.

They're fairly similar in terms of their upsides and output expectation. I think I prefer Kubalik just because we haven't seen a full season out of Olofsson, and there's only one top C at the moment in Buffalo.

I look at William Karlsson as a great comparison to these two. Not a lot of hype, had a big season, and was an RFA. He signed a one year, 5.25 M prove it deal. That's the contract and price range of what I expect for each of these guys. The flat cap could bring that dollar amount down, but I don't think that it'll be less than 4 M each.

The Olofsson/Eichel situation reminds me of Okposo/Tavares. I'd go with Kubalik as I don't think Olofsson is secure long-term.

Right now he is on the 3rd line with Dach and Cagguila which I am not really happy with as an owner. While Dach is looking great in camp, I’d like Kubalik to get some Kane or Toews exposure. I hate when teams try to spread out talent to 3 lines.
