My thought on sexual assault allegations is very hairy when it's one. It's a very tough thing for someone to come forward about, especially when it's someone who is famous or powerful. It's incredibly difficult to do. However like you said, many people file false claims. Great example was the Patrick Kane incident. It is a VERY sensitive situation. But when it's multiple accusations, I tend to start going to the side of of the accusers more than the accused.

This is a personal, non political, point of view. It's also very much changing based on situation.

I think this is fair and lucid. And I thank you for that and have empathy for that position. I respect probabilities.
Having said that, right or wrong, for me, accusations are just accusations until proven. So I give them very little weight, especially when it involves an abrasive blowhard like President Trump. He's obviously easy to dislike, which puts an even bigger target on his chest.

I'm only calling it that because I've seen it called that. I also have only seen tweets hating the show, and have not actually watched it.

Having just scanned the Wiki page for the first time, I'm understanding it a bit more. Didn't realize it originated in France. Honestly I thought it was a doc about like kids pageants, not a film.

For the last time, the point is that President Trump's remarks (broached by a TDS hater, as some kind of a moral comparison to the pedophile film CUTIES):
a) were not about children
and
b) were consensual interactions

And, for the last time, I didn't make the moral comparison between the two. Go re-read the post. YOU did.

My comment was directed at YOU. YOU are quick to dismiss Netflix in its entirety because of a show (which I haven't seen, but based on what I've read is worthy of criticism) but YOU are completely willing to absolve Trump for (and I never claimed they were equally) reprehensible remarks. This isn't about the show OR the quote--it's about YOUR willingness to pick and choose which facts you will care about and which you'll completely dismiss in order to maintain your idolatrous love of POTUS. I only brought up Netflix because there's a documentary (which isn't even about current politics) that I thought you might find interesting.

Both "Cuties" and Trump's comments (and, if proven, actions) should be seen as reprehensible. Can't you acknowledge that? Trump is a disgusting pig that sexually degrades women verbally, has needed to settle lawsuits against porn stars, and has been accused of much worse. Those aren't opinions. They are facts.

No need for "But Netflix is worse!" "But Biden sniffs people's hair!" But, but, but...

I'm not a major Biden advocate. I can acknowledge his faults. I didn't vote for him in the primaries. But he's better than the alternative in my opinion. I won't put him on a pedestal. Can't you take Trump off of yours?

I do not have a President Trump on a pedestal - this is total fiction, derived entirely from my willingness to defend him against hyperbolic attacks.

When President Trump is called a "disgusting pig" I see a lot of emotion infused into such a statement.
I, on the other hand, see someone who has plenty of faults before God, absolutely, but I also see that he is beloved by many, many rational people.

Therefore, I conclude that the emotional hatred so many have for him is largely based on misinformation from left-biased news networks who desperately want him out of office.
Why do they want him out of office so badly?

There is a thing called fact checking that quickly determines which media is trustworthy and truthful and which are not. Also you only have to listen to Trump live and unfiltered by any media to know that the 'fake news' he attacks are very much on point. You are victim to his gaslighting Willy, time to get help.

Sounds about right. Getting the excuses ready for when you lose. The only possible way Trump loses, is if the Dems cheat... Has nothing to do with his popularity being at an all time low. Or the fact that people are starting to see through the lies. Or that people are afraid of what happens when he completely dismantles Obamacare with no plan for what replaces it. Or the complete disaster that was the US response to Covid.

Sorry man, despite voter suppression to a level we have never seen before and the fact that his opponent is incredibly weak, and it is still highly likely that Trump loses. Not because of cheating, but because Trump butchered his chances by being the worst president in US history. When it does happen, nobody here is expecting you to lose graciously.
