Sure did. Very accurately predicted this pandemic

You have to laugh when people ask “Who could of predicted this?” The answer is many people were predicting this. Hell, I feel like I have more knowledge on the topic than many people in government. I started having an interest in viruses since reading The Hot Zone back in the 90s. All the information was out there. This pandemic should not shock anyone and the fact that the US was so unprepared is an indictment on their government.

Here's the problem with governments and why they aren't equipped to deal with pandemics.

Money is always tight and everyone is fighting for the allocation of every dollar. They will always allocate to the most pressing short-term needs, very hard for politicians to fight for spending on long-term projects with unforeseen benefits like this pandemic because that doesn't win votes in the next election.

Of course, now that it's happening, they will all be investing billions into PPE stockpiling, research and infrastructure to prevent the next one.

Capitalism has done a lot of good but it also has a dark side - profits become more important than people.

The divide between the wealthy and poor has never been clearer during these times. Take NYC where the rich are moving to their fortresses in the Hamptoms while the poor are labelled "essential workers", forced to work (without a raise) and are given empty praise while they sacrifice themselves.

    God bless America.

If ever there was a god, it's clear it abandoned the usa to it's own devices a long time ago. No room for god and money. The money won.

Well I am glad you believe in something!

But a strikeout on the stat sheet is still a strikeout.

Why would you believe in Thor if he can’t help you?

It's an interesting question. You could also ask "Why would you believe in God if he can't help you?" Sort of the same thing, no?

Thor may not be able to help you any more than any other god can but at least he is buff and has a neat hammer.

No, different. He expressed a strong desire in belief of Thor as seen above. Then he comments that ' at least money will help me though'

So i asked why does he belief in Thor if Thor can't help him but money can.

So no, the basis for your question is not the same.
