According to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun, the NHL could make its hub city decision as soon as Friday if the NHL and NHL Players' Association can come to a decision.

I wonder how much the news of the Toronto Blue Jays getting approval to play games and stay at Rogers Centre will impact the NHL's decision on Toronto as a hub city or not.

i have never been to Toronto, so I don't know exactly how close Scotiabank and Rogers are to one another.

I still don't think this happens based on current events, but if it does I sure hope it doesn't happen in Edmonton. Keep the infected south of the border!

Literally a stone's throw. There's a cool street that connects one to the other and on nights where both teams are playing it gets packed.

Doubt it affects much. MLSE has its own facilities and wasn't planning on using the Dome or any of the same facilities as far as I know. We can accommodate both of them lol

Awesome. That's what I was wondering. If the hotels as part of Rogers Centre were part of the Maple Leafs Proposal. If the hotels there were part of accommodations or if the ball park was gonna serve as the Olympic Village per se.

The Toronto NHL Hub proposal is centered around the CNE grounds, not the ACC too, which is about 3km's away form each other.

However, even if the NHL is going with the ACC, it won't affect the TBJ plan, just from how it looks like both are operating. The big thing might be shared buses. I'm hoping that's not something that is done just because there's enough money operating these things where they shouldn't cut corners on something as simple as buses.

With the USA news about more COVID positive cases, I think it bodes well for the Canadian cities. One other thing that I just thought of, the Canadian Dollar. Operating costs will be cheaper for teams if they pay CAD vice USD. Money matters when there are no fans throwing their money at tickets, concessions, parking, etc. Just my 2 cents...see what I did there? Huh? Huh?
