Yesterday, I was listening to McGuire on Team 990 and he said that Tavares at his age is the best finisher he\'s seen in his last 20 years.
McGuire was working has a scout when the Penguins organization selected Jagr. He says that at 16 years old Tavares is a better finisher that Jagr, Bure ans Selanne. Wow!

I guess that\'s why McGuire gets paid the big bucks. I\'ve seen Tavares twice now. The skill is definitely there, but he has a lot of maturing to do. A little selfish, a little lazy...I guess I would be too if my most skilled linemates were Clutterbuck and MacLean.

He\'s not Crosby, but the kid is good. Not sure about PM\'s comments, but I will say the kid knows how to find the net
He does need to work on his skating and attitude....but he has 2 more years of junior (and 2 world juniors) to help with that !

I would agree T.Giraffe. He is going to be a star. He\'s already good at the interviews just like Sid was. But he does have to mature quite a bit, and I know he will. He is still very young.
