I've definitely seen worse offers, so it's not worth burning bridges over, but it's definitely a non-starter if he seriously wants Malkin.
Contending team wants my Malkin.
Offer is Kopitar, Toffoli, and two thirds
Does depth help? No- never. We start literally two centers out of 18 teams.
Does Toffoli help? So far hed be a bench winger (start 4) on my team and I have very bad wingers. Is he a free protect at least? No he'd be stealable in our steal round.
Do the two thirds help? Its an 18 team league where picks are the entry draft- youre looking at late 2nd, early 3rd round entry draft guys.
Malkin is top 3 in ppg this year.
Is there any planet where this deal is ahem "fine"? Alternatives were based around deals where the core piece was Rackell OR Klefbom. This is a hatchet job right??

Guy was banking on Toffolis new spot and Kopi’s decent season. It’s a decline but no need to tear em down in the process.

Ya I've seen much worse so I wouldn't get too hot about it. Just decline and tell him if he wants Malkin he's going to have to try a little harder.

I've seen far worse, and in some leagues that deal would work fine. I'd call it bad, but not insulting.
Oh, and you are nuts - just look what happens when you see your reflection:

I've seen a lot of worse offers in my time. I don't understand why GMs make such low-ball offers, but it continues to happen all the time. Some say it's to generate trade discussions but imo it just turns me off dealing with any GM who does it. Just say no and move on.
No way. A guy in my league gave 2 1sts, 2 3rds and Bratt for Malkin. I thought that was too much but this is not enough at all.

Don't worry I'm not going to say anything more than I have to. If that.
Meh. Nothing shocking here. Just your everyday lowball offer. Counter or simply decline. Nothing to get upset about.

I'm kinda stupid but not sure I like it. Malkin is head and shoulders the better player and plays on a better team overall. Injuries aside, he should fetch you a better return.
Points only keeper. 12 Teams. No pos requirements. 18 skaters / 3 goalies (2 count for points.) G/A = 1 point each (includes goalies) Goalies = 1.5 for W / 4.5 for SO. Minors - 4 year protection. Prospects added during their draft year only. Undrafted = waivers.

Thanks guys- settled something for me. Im not burning any bridges over it- but this thread did help me get some perspective here. I think some owners try to undermine offers you send as like a negotiating ploy so you second guess yourself and I just needed to make sure I wasnt losing my marbles- lol! Ftr I agree its not "horrible" but theres no logical reason an intelligent GM would ever consider it- especially in a top heavy league. Just one of those ones where the sender is hoping youll make a mistake...
Its a bad offer but I can see the logic from the other owner's perspective - "Malkin is injury prone and Kopitar recently had a 90 point season, if they see Malkin in the worst possible light and Kopitar in the best possible light they might accept it with the added depth." I've tried to do mental gymnastics like that in the past, but it rarely coincides with reality.
