I’m in 1st but I’m getting pounded by injuries lately.

I just traded Hamilton and Hertl for Horvat. Even though Horvat is my 5th C, he will never sit based on the same-night tool so he was a solid trade acquisition I hope.

If you weren't going to keep either Hamilton or Hertl (and I don't think you were), then it makes sense to move both injured guys for something that helps now.

Only you will know if you could have got more; I assume you shopped these guys around and this was the best offer.

This is fine. Your in first trying to hang on and you moved two guys who are not keepers for you and contributing zero to your team. Horvat has been looking good of late. Under different circumstances it's not a great trade, but given your position you do what ya gotta do.

Hamilton was going to be a keeper for me. I was going to drop/trade Burns before the fall draft.

It;s a solid move as Hamilton versus Burns isn't far off,e specially considering what they give in the next 1.5 years. That 0 for Hamilton the rest of this year would hurt you a lot.
