I tried for Hedman with Rielly, Vrana ( when I had Vrana). Other GM wanted Vasilevskiy.

Carlson, Hamilton and Josi are the only ones left in the top tier IMO and will require a bigger + than Vrana. EK65 or Burns may be an option with boom/bust potential but I prefer EK over Burns. One other option may be Shea Weber. Other than those......it's a lateral move in my view.

I think you're going about your shopping all wrong.
The D you're looking to acquire Carlson, Hedman, Hamilton & Josi was mentioned as well are all the hottest options.
You're going to pay a premium because of that.
Flip your thinking on its head.
Target an elite option - BURNS (as an example)
who's not performing at an elite level (keeping Rielly - who is elite, just not performing to it would be an in-house upgrade)
It'll cost less and you'll get that performance upside potential.

Agree wholeheartedly. Never shop for the hottest players, shop for the players who are struggling but have hot upside.
