#1 Waiver Priority on Zubov???

It is a fairly competitive league (my team and stats are in the signature at the bottom)...Someone just dropped ZUBOV

Should I use my #1 overall Waiver Priority on Zubov??? and who should I drop???

ps. I know he won\'t clear waivers....

I would drop Sullivan for Zubov and definately use my #1 waiver in this situation. No hesitation here IMO

Agreed, he\'ll be a top 10 dman for the games that he plays. Stash him on your bench and then reap the rewards in a few weeks when he come back.

I can remember a couple of times over the past few years where I had the #1 waiver priority and I sat on it for the longest time. Some pretty good talent went by and I just couldn\'t pull the trigger as I kept hoping for better. Well, the better never came. If you get an opportunity that will help your team, you\'ve gotta use that waiver and use it now.
Zubov will help shore up your D. I\'d be picking him up.

Mekanisis, I think he\'s got O\'Sully, not Sullivan.

Personally, I wouldn\'t drop O\'Sullivan, but would lean towards dropping Seabrook (since you don\'t plan to keep him anyway) or Gionta (assuming O\'Sullivan and/or PMB are listed at RW in your league). But picking up Zubov is a must, even if you need to use your #1 waiver priority.

Drop Seabrook as he is most easily replaceable... or you could drop Conks depending on how you feel about your goaltending!

I would use my #1 Waiver Priority pick to grab Zubov. He should be good for 50+ point pace. You\'ll not get a higher scoring D-man on waivers.

After reviewing your team, I would drop J. Staal. You don\'t have as much diversity on your bench as I would want. (Perhaps Staal is a LW or a C/LW) With such a short bench, it\'s important to have some diversity there to overcome short weeks & minor injuries. You don\'t want any repetition in positions on the bench. With only a few keepers, you might want to carefully consider some of the veteran guys that are proven point getters. Multi-position guys would be invaluable.

In the event that you decide you don\'t like Zubov and his injury risk, wait until he\'s healthy, and move him. There will be lots of interest.

You currently have 4 active D and none on the bench. Why would you want to change that? I\'d consider dumping Seabrook. Can you IR Zubov?

If you decide to keep your D, what about dropping a goalie? With Luongo, Turco and Conks, you\'re in pretty good shape. Why not rid yourself of Khabibulin and the goalie mess in CHI?

How many do you start at each position?

J.Staal forsure, you already have 4 centers ahead of him on your depth charts. Don\'t drop a goalie or a D-man yet. Stash Zubov away, he will help you later on.

I was leaning towards Khabibulin as the drop...as I feel J.Staal could be a valuable LW whether he is centering the 2nd line or playing wing with Malkin. I almost think Quenville will be told to pick Huet as the #1 and not rotate Khabby as much as Savard may have...
