I'm not sure, how good are the goalies in the FA pool? Would seem unfortunate to drop Dubnyk. In h2h with volume starting mostly rewarded, I would be hesitant to drop a guy who plays a lot. Is there nobody else you could ship out?
I have Dubnyk on the IR, and just acquired Halak as a smaller piece in a deal. My other goalies include Rask and Fleury.
It doesn't look like I'll be able to trade Dubnyk and I'm debating keeping Halak and just dropping him when he returns from injury. My thinking is the tandem will net me more quality starts, and this will likely make up for a little less volume.
Start two H2H fantasy points (not roto). Cats: Saves, GA, W, OTL, SOL
Thoughts?

We have a maximum of 3 goalies that can be rostered at any given time. That means when Dubnyk returns I will be over the limit. FA is pretty slim, but despite that being the case there doesn't seem to be much of a market for goalies. I got Halak as a throw in as part of a larger deal, so could drop him instead. His previous owner was actively trying to trade him for a long time with no bites.

I'd probably keep the Bruins tandem. No guarantee Dubnyk is the starter when he comes back.

Slightly biased here as I own Halak as my #3 but yeas, I would much prefer Halak getting nearly 50% of the Bruins' starts vs Dubnyk getting 65% of the Wild starts if he even does.

In a 10 league where we start 3C, 3LW, 3RW, 4D and 2 G daily. It is a H2H league - we keep 3 players (1 G max), are allowed a max of 2 keeps for each player. The number in brackets is the number of keeps I have left:
G, A, +/-, PIMs, PPG, PPA and Shots.
C - Larkin, Couturier, Kopitar, Cirelli
LW - OV, Panarin (1), Schenn (C), Ehlers (RW), Kreider
RW - Kucherov (0), Seguin (C), Palmieri, Voracek, Yamamoto
D - Yandle, DeAngelo
W, GAA, SV% and Saves.
G - Rask, Varlamov, Hart, Mrazek
IR+ - Tarasenko
I said NEARLY 50%, and the info I base that on is the Bruins making a Stanley Cup final run with Halak starting 37 games (nearly half) and putting up excellent numbers along the way to spell Rask and keep him fresh. I imagine they’d like to replicate that formula again this season based on the result.

With your limited G keeper situation, I’d favor Halak here. I actually think Dubnyk will play well enough and reclaim his starter spot (Stalock is not a threat), but having Halak/Rask start here and there when Fleury slumps is a pretty solid strategy in your setup.

its a tough choice indeed but whats great about Halak is that Cassidy announces the starter or heck , even the entire weeks forecasted rotation pretty early .
