I could maybe see him getting a 2nd chance if all he did was use that word. It's a disgusting word but people say bad things all the time, even if they maybe didn't mean to be hurtful. It happens. What I can't get past is the fact that he allegedly assaulted two players while coaching in Carolina. He was an adult assaulting young players, and the Flames had to find THAT out through social media. Again! He should be fired and there is zero reason to give him a 2nd chance.

Yes, that likely means they will pay out his contract as things stand. Babcock was also "relieved of his coaching duties" and Don Cherry "stepped down." neither were actually terminated from their employers.

Who cares if they pay him out or not. The man lost his job and reputation. Legally, having dealt with things like this in the past, he probably is owed compensation as there was no just cause in this firing.
