He's been lighting it up in the AHL. 10 in 18gp for a 18 year old is no joke.
At the draft, people were unsure of his offense upside. What's his upside now that he has shown he can produce against AHLers? Can he become a PP1 QB?

If he is lighting it up in the AHL and can do it for the full year... then yes I would say there is potential for that.
He is in a tough situation because look at who Detroit already has on their Powerplays... Hronek and Cholowski... both young guns in their own right.

Be wary. I wouldn't be surprised if he is two years away.
Love his start though.
