How do your league scoring and line-ups work? Regardless, I think Vrana should be in your lineup. Who's available as FA?
Hi guys, I'm relatively new to fantasy hockey and I was looking for some advice on my team. My team and info is my signature. I tried going for players that would give me peripheral stats, and not be one dimensional, so far the categories I struggle with are G, and +/-. Are there any changes I may want to consider right away
12 team limited keeper league, don't get to keep our 1st rd draft pick and have to keep a player from each position (C, LW, RW, D, G). We also get to keep 2 FAs we picked up off the waiver wire during the year. League is set up as 3C, 3LW, 3RW, 6D, 2G
Scoring Categories are (G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, SOG, FW, Hit, Blocks)
Goaltending Categories are (W, GA, SA, SV, SHO)
Team Keepers In Bold:
C:Zibanejad, Hertl, Schenn (Eller, R Strome, E Staal)
LW:Huberdeau, Palat, Vrana (Tuch )
RW:Miller, Reinhart, Connolly, Kassian
D:Provorov, Morissey, Fox, Goligoski, Muzzin, Cole
G:Rittich, Anderssen, Nilsson, Francouz

Without knowing the best options are your waiver wire, this is next to impossible to answer. List the best players at each position and I'm sure people will chime in...
I would say the FA wire is slim pickings but you guys can be the judge of that:
Forward FA
Nick Foligno
Auston Watson
Jordan Staal
Garnet Hathaway
Carl Soderberg
Defenseman FA
Deryk Engelland
Ryan Graves
Scott Mayfield
Christopher Tanev
Kobian Holzer
Goalie FAs
Stalock
Demko
Francouz
Khudobin
The scoring info is in my signature, and its daily line up changes

So you start 3C 3LW 3RW and 6D and 4G (?) every day and have 5 Bench spots?
Are those the FA forwards that have the most goals or the top ranked?
3C 3LW 3RW 6D and 2G, 7 Bench spots
Guys With the Most Goals are
Donskoi
Garland
Dvorak
Saad
Virtanen

I'm looking at McCann or Nyqvist as possible adds, is anyone on my team (listed in my signature) worth replacing?

+/- is always a tough stat to guage. Obviously if your team is littered with low scoring teams, your +/- is going to suffer. Goals is usually one of the harder stats to acquire in trades, and FOW (when your league offers those, which yours does) so you usually have to give up a multicat guy to get goals, but then you are back to pidgeon-holing yourself into certain cats.
I'd have no issues dropping Namestnikov for WW options.

This team actually doesn't look too bad. The first move I would suggest in agreement with "Swels Stewart", Vrana should replace Connolly on LW. It looks like Eller is on his way to a career year so I wouldn't do anything there, simply monitor. That leaves Kassian and Brown, I'm assuming this is Dustin? Kassian is on a role so no problem there, and despite the Kings struggles, Brown is still delivering decent muti cat numbers that could be difficult to improve on. None of the FA's you've listed is clearly a better option at this point. You might want to keep an eye on Virtanen, if he picks it up a bit and either Kassian or Brown begins to struggle, an upgrade there might be possible. All this to say, I don't think you need to make any moves at this point in respect to looking for an FA to upgrade your current roster. Again, of the guys you've listed, I don't see any obvious upgrades on the Blue line, the bench or your Goaltending and the forwards we have just discussed.
