I was asked about Carlson and I asked for Seguin in return . Willing to accept Tavares as well .

Offer received his Malkin for my Carlson . I think I’d rather keep the 70pt d-man .

We start 3 goalies and he only has 2 . There’s nothing on waivers .

What if I counter Carlson, Halak, Duchene for Tavares , Malkin .
Is that enough ?

I’m hesitant to consider bringing Scheifele into the conversation because the Svechnikov owner has shown lots of interest in Scheifele.

You're giving up way to much for Carlson. D like him are a premium considering Malkin and Tavares don't offer a tonne peripherally. Plus you're set at C anyways. If you can get Svech, Tavares and a 6th for Carlson, Scheif and maybe a 10th then I may consider

Agreed. You need carlson way more than another center.

I'd be looking to deal Halak or Demko to him, along with Nylander and get a better skater back.

Assumed team after the draft . I’m not contending this year . Trying to improve my 6 keepers . Agreed my D is brutal . I traded Dahlin for Carlson. Aside from Dahlin, Ghost was the best d from the draft . The rest are from waivers . Nobody is trading Dmen unless I include one of the few top players that I have .

I understand that. I was thinking that if the guy needs a goalie, that's where you make a move. Tavares & Malkin gives you 2 keepers for 1, but who do you see as your keepers? I don't see you keeping both goalies.

i agree with others that you need Carlson. Also, he is producing at the unreal pace atm which means you can sell high if you choose to. Non of those guys is sell high...there is 6-7 forwards in the league i would trade Carlson for straight up atm, non of those 3 are in that group. Now if other GM is serious enough, ask for 2 out of 3 and see what happens.

Goalies are really tough to come by . Keepers as I see them as of now :
Mackinnon, Carlson, Scheifele, Kane , (Binnington , Bishop , Nylander )

I'd use that "goalies are tough to come by" and shop a goalie. Someone may give you something you really like.

Trading the best D for the easiest position to fill (C) doesn't make sense, IMO....none of those moves will improve your keepers.

If that guy only has 2 goalies, try trading him Halak or Demko for a draft pick. Heck, I'd trade anyone that's not on your keeper list for draft picks.
