Chabot for Werenski and 2nd round
Thoughts? I’d be giving up Werenski and my 2nd round pick next year (16 team keep 8 league, so it would be a pick in the true range of 144-160)

If Chabot fits in as your 8th keeper - likely between him, Hamilton, Gusev, Kopitar - then it would make sense.
I'd probably do it... might be the last year Chabot is available at reasonable prices -- depending on whether this is the 1st offer or not, I'd consider trying to push that pick to a 3rd or 4th rounder first

In a 16 team keep 8 I would pull the trigger as I like Chabot over Werenski as a keeper (and goal is to compile the best possible 8 keepers). While Chabot is in a bad situation in Ottawa, the outlook in Columbus is not much better. Is there flexibility on the draft pick? I would look to offer a lower draft pick if possible.

If you are getting Chabot I like it. But yeah I'd try for a lower pick. See what happens. Or use my old trick and give up a 2nd and get an 8th back or something like that.

The pick seems a wee bit high. I would try to lower to a 4th round and if the owner don't bite then go to a 3rd. I do like Chabot over Werenski.
