Two leagues ,
8 team , 30 man roster positional requirements , keep 10 , points based including hits, pims, sog,
If either Kakko or Hughes drop to 5th overall, do you take them ahead of Marchand, Tarasenko, Benn, Guentzel, Backstrom ?
Personally I don’t see it . Am I wrong ?
12 team league. 20 man roster , positional requirements, keep 6 , Roto
Coming in as 1 of 2 expansion teams. 10 teams have kept 6 players each . Both expansion teams alternate drafting up to and including their 7th pick then all teams continue drafting.
I’m drafting 1, 4,5 etc. Do you take them over Wheeler, Benn, Guentzel, Backstrom, Huberdeau.
In either league would Kakko or Hugh have enough value to trade for a high end skater or goalie ?

For the first league (Fantrax) you're built to win now. Take Marchand or Tarasenko and go for the win. Kakko / Hughes will not help you as much as either of those two in this upcoming season.
For the second league (Yahoo) it really depends on whether or not the expansion draft will set you up to compete this year. Assuming you can't (since the top 60 players are already kept), make sure to grab one of Hughes / Kakko with your 1st pick so that the other expansion team can't grab them both with then 2nd and 3rd overall. I'd then take Wheeler, Guentzel, Huberdeau in that order.

100% no way. You could probably draft Marchand or Benn be trade them to a contender even, which should still get you more than either Kakko or Hughes. Could prob get player size and high future picks. Or multiple young guys like Barzal, Svechnikov etc.. who do not have the same hype as these rookies but in all likelihood are very close to as good.
