Trouba vs Ristolainen

Who puts up more fantasy point this season? League in signature.

Both fantastic multicat performers. Risto a bit better than Trouba.

I know if Risto gets traded to the right team his value will rise, but as of now he is gonna lose much of his coveted PP time to Dahlin.

Trouba also puts up good peripherals and seems to be on a trajectory to get the brunt of PP time in New York.

For what it's worth, I think Ristolainen would still be getting a lot of PP1 time even in Buffalo with Dahlin. Trouba will definitely get PP1 opportunities, but with Fox and DeAngelo around as capable options he's not alone either.

Who was the more valuable option with last year's production? If it's very close, then I'm probably inclined to go with Trouba since his minutes and deployment seems to be more assured with the massive contract extension. If Ristolainen had a considerable advantage due to massive hit volume, then I might be inclined to prefer him. I don't think his production is going to fall off a cliff or anything, really at all.

What if we throw Seth Jones in the mix? I am worried about Columbus's ability to score this season, as well as Werenski being a solid PP quarterback who will see his fair share of PP1 time. Jones does not put up the same peripherals as Risto for sure and is a little behind Trouba as well. Could Jones be a drop for me this year instead of Risto or Trouba? Or am I overthinking the negative impact of Columbus's limited firepower this season.

Jones is the clear number one. He's an elite dman and.i expect a huge breakout this season. I know Columbus lost a list of pieces this offseason, but they also means that they will rely much more on their current stars. Jones.os gonna get tons of playing time. I expect him to challenge for 60 points and vault himself into the second tier of dmen behind karlsson, burns and hedman.
Trouba got a huge contract, now is a number one dman. He's gonna have a nice year and I'll put him second. Only thing holding him back is that the rangers offense might take some time to shape up since they are gonna be relying on a lot of younger players.
Risto worried me. A lot. He is beloved is fantasy for.his offensive production coupled with his peripherals, however in real life he's viewed as a guy who still has many holes. Once he loses that playing time, which I think happens this season no matter who he is traded to (unless it's Detroit, which is a possibility), then the offense and peripherals both go down. I've already sold high on him this offseason.

It was a multi player deal so I can't say exactly what I got. From what I remember, I was sending burns, risto and McAvoy and some other pieces and I got back Erik karlsson, chabot, Terry, robertson and a 2020 first rounder.
