who are the top players available?
I'd be inclined to take a G with #13 to give me that anchor. I doubt more than 3/6 take a G in the 1st round.
By you not taking one at #1, it could let others relax on the G trigger too.
League in sig with keepers.
These are the "top" goalies available in my league for draft. I own the 1st, 13th, 21st, 24th and 25th overall picks. Where should I be looking to pick my first goalie. Keep in mind 6 of 12 teams kept at least one goalie and one of those guys doesn't have a pick until the 5th round.
Bishop
Rinne
Price
Gibson
Binnington
Murray
Hart
Grubauer
Jones

Rantanen is going to be my #1 pick. There are quite a few good available players like Barkov, Hedman, Bergeron, Malkin, Aho, Josi. Draft is pretty stacked and I feel like goalies should last until the second or third even for a decent guy. Out of those guys who are you inclined to take?

would be the order of my top 5.
Some reasoning:
Dallas is a solid D-first team
Price has steadily improved the last two seasons & team is also better
Binn - stud, but not ready to annoint him over the other two.
Rinne's lower due to limted starts.
Grubs - it's his to lose & Col. will only be better this year
the others:
history doesn't support Hart having monster stats.
Murray can't play 50 games
Gibson plays for the Ducks
Jones is a W machine, but is a black hole to all GAA/SVPCT

I'm not as acquainted with goalie cats as others but I'll give it a shot:
Tier 1: Very good but have caveats/risks, but at least you have a #1G in them
Price: I place more faith in him now that he has performed well for 2 years + MTL is on the rise. He is my number one. Possibility of injury but less than some others on this list.
Binnington: The only thing that impact his value is the skepticism that he can be as good as last year. Still, he won the damn Stanley Cup, he thus has a leg up on others in my mind.
Bishop : strong numbers but lengthy history of injuries, I'm lower on him than most. So 3rd.
Rinne: One year removed of the Vezina, the problem will be his limited starts especially if they want to keep him healthy. He could be on the tier 2 list if you think Saaros is coming this year.
Tier 2: Good but higher risks of blowing out, only as 2nd / 3rd goalies
Hart : I'd rather roll the dice on him than on others down the list but it would be normal if he had rough stretches during the year.
Gibson: Excellent numbers but ANA won't win much + he gets injured every year unfortunately. So sad.
Jones: Gets you the wins but has notably poor saving %...
Murray: PIT is trending down, injured often and has subpar streches (he's very frustrating to own...)
Grubauer: He will win but it's still hard for him right now to be the starter. But his stock is raising at least.
