    Default Rank - Rantanen/Barkov/Marchand

All stat keeper, league and team in SIG

    Marchand (4.9), Rantanen (4.6), Barkov (4.4)

GM in my league has Rantanen and I’ve been trying to get him for a while he has opened up to dealing him and said the 2 players that interest him most are Marchand/Barkov was curious how you guys would rank the 3 and if this is a move I should make?. Always been a fan of duos so getting the MacKinnon/Rantanen duo is something I’ve been gunning for a little bit.

What stats are included in "all stats", and how are they scored? Without telling us that you're going to get bad advice. Are the numbers in brackets their fantasy points per game?

I would move Marchand for him. A bit more of offense going out, but this is a situation where I'd take advantage of the age angle.

I'd rank them in the order you've got them in. Barkov probably takes a little step forward due to Coach Q, but because he's a centre, he needs to outproduce a winger by 10-15%, so he's solidly last in this list.

I'd probably prefer Marchand over Rantanen simply because production is production and I don't see a change next season for either of them. I don't believe in anything but next season, even in keeper leagues -- you should always be going guts out for a title, you can focus on recovery later.

So. If you can convince the other owner to take Barkov + a little something (or a player that doesn't make your keepers but perhaps does for the other GM?) for Rantanen, power to you. I'd rather hold Marchand.

Barkov, Marchand, Raantanen for me , Raantanen might have another big year, but the reason I rank it as I do, is because if believe Barkov and Marchand can do it on their own, I don't know if Raantanen is as able to drive a line himself. BUT if positions matter Centers are easier to add to a team than wingers

Those are pretty great categories for Marchand, less so for Rantanen. I might be in the minority but I'm unsure Rantanen can get much better, whereas Barkov and Marchand could be 100+ point guys for the next at least three seasons. I'm not sure I make any move if I'm in your shoes.

    1. Rantanen
    1a. Marchand / Barkov

Rantanen is a winger and higher upside. Dobber Fantay guide has additional info. supporting this ranking. All 3 are really good players, but like the RW vs C (Barkov), Rantanen's 3rd year numbers, and concerned with the Bergeron Injury issues. One are that makes me lean towards Barkov is his FOW, and would need to plug your stats into a prjections tool to understand how much of an impact this is (as also lose the dame for FOL).

I would hold onto Barkov and Marchand. I am a bigger fan of Barkov over Marchand going forward. Though both players play on their teams top line and 1st PP unit. They also both play on SH units too.
Barkov also just finish his 2nd straight season with 200+ shots. I see that happening again this year, plus same or better point production and goals.

Rantanen is a damn good winger and player. But if you are wanting to compete for a title this season stay with what you have. He's too much of an unknown given his contract situation.

Exactly that. I would trade Marchand for Rantanen but not for Barkov.
