Age isn't really a factor when we're talking about 18 and 21yr olds. Pettersson has a head start on Hughes and a good 15 years of elite play in front of him. Many more years than we need to worry about for fantasy purposes. How many leagues even last long enough to get to the point Pettersson retires and you get that extra three years out of Hughes?

What if I get Hughes and Josi for EP40?

I prefer Pettersson to Hughs but if you can get Josi added it’s a no brainer.

You are right.
My thinking was that Pettersson just played his first season as a 20 years old while Hughes is still just 18. By 20 who knows how good this kid is going to be?! Again, this souldn't be a comparison based on players' age performance, it matters more for real hockey...
Still Hughes is my pick.
