    Question My barkov for...

As the title suggests, I've been offered a trade by two different teams that involve giving up my Barkov. My team and league is in my sig. These are my options:

1 - BARKOV FOR HALL AND A 2ND ROUND PICK (I would also be slightly downgrading a minor in a 1-for-1 minor swap as part of this deal)
2 - BARKOV, HAGUE, AND A 2ND (probably a top 5 pick in the round) FOR MARNER AND SANDIN
    3 - KEEP BARKOV

I have lofty expectations for Barkov, but I also have lofty expectations for Hall as well. I know Hall is coming off that injury, but I'm really not too worried about it given the details around it.

I like Marner and the contract thing isn't worrying me, but I feel like Barkov and Marner are projected to have similar seasons that I would be overpaying with what else is involved in the deal, even if Sandin is a decent upgrade from Hague.

I think keeping Barkov is the "safe" play, but I think the first two options could be a "higher risk, higher reward" type of deal. What do you guys think?

You are giving up a lot of FW's by trading away Barkov and not really upgrading anywhere else. It's a pretty easy pass for me on both offers simply based on that. The player (s) coming back to me if I am giving up Barkov and those FW would have to blow me a way before I'd move him.

yeah,, these deals are lateral at best - then you lose a top FOW Centre in the NHL... You're getting nothing back to replace those FOW's & you're not really deep at C in order to recoup those numbers.

You need Barkov at C more than you need Hall or Marner on the wing.

    pass on both

    Option C

The Hall trade is your best option of the two potential trades, but I would just keep Barkov. The acquisition of Acciari should get Barkov some more offensive zone starts and favorable deployment, so I'm thinking Barkov's 90+ point trajectory is quite sustainable -- there may even be a bit more upside there. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Barkov cracked 100 points this season.

Could you do Barkov for Marner 1 for 1?? If so I’d do that deal. I think Marner will be a perennial 90-100 pt player.

I agree with those that say the downgrade you will have at C will be more than the upgrade you will get at the wing. Even though each deal looks ok, neither deal makes your team better IMO. Pass.

Without even go through the other comments, I know that you have to smash that reject button right now. Option 3 is the best and the only one option for you. Barkov should be a top 10-12 player in your setting for years to come. One of the best FO guy in the league as far as fow% and counting stats. One of the best offensive players(with still room to improve) one of the bes penalty killers out there too. Barkov beat baby!
