My barkov for...
As the title suggests, I've been offered a trade by two different teams that involve giving up my Barkov. My team and league is in my sig. These are my options:
1 - BARKOV FOR HALL AND A 2ND ROUND PICK (I would also be slightly downgrading a minor in a 1-for-1 minor swap as part of this deal)
2 - BARKOV, HAGUE, AND A 2ND (probably a top 5 pick in the round) FOR MARNER AND SANDIN
3 - KEEP BARKOV
I have lofty expectations for Barkov, but I also have lofty expectations for Hall as well. I know Hall is coming off that injury, but I'm really not too worried about it given the details around it.
I like Marner and the contract thing isn't worrying me, but I feel like Barkov and Marner are projected to have similar seasons that I would be overpaying with what else is involved in the deal, even if Sandin is a decent upgrade from Hague.
I think keeping Barkov is the "safe" play, but I think the first two options could be a "higher risk, higher reward" type of deal. What do you guys think?
