    Default Debrusk/DeAngelo

I’ve been offered his DeAngelo and a later pick for my Debrusk. Thoughts?

Points only keeper. Keep 10. Full roster is 12F, 6D, 3G.

I likely wouldn’t be keeping Debrusk. I’m weaker on D, and may be willing to bet on DeAngelo’s upside. Another wrinkle is I already own Fox, but I can keep him on my prospect roster for at least another season yet.

    Pre Draft...

    Forsberg
    Meier
    Nylander
    Mantha
    Thomas
    Debrusk
    Kapanen
    Roslovic

    Morrissey
    Sanheim
    Girard

    Binnington
    Hart

seems fair just depends how you personally value each player. debrusk is a 45 point guy, and could be replaced very easily. after draft probably a bench player. so depends how you feel about Deangalo i think he has second dibs on pp time after Trouba. neither will be a keeper after this season i assume (especially since you have fox).

so this is mainly a non answer but it really is a toss up...

I’d keep DeBrusk and flip him for some D help in season. He’s top PP in Boston so he could go on a hot stretch. deangelo has been bounced from team to team, clearly there are attitude issues there. I’d stay clear and keep the proven 20 goal scorer and soon to be 30. I bet you could flip him for a better D prospect next season.

I would flip DeBrusk for the pick (see if you can just get another pick instead of DeAngelo) and go with:

Forsberg, Meier, Nylander, Mantha, Thomas, Morrissey, Sanheim, Girard, Hart, Binnington.

I see both Sanheim and Girard as 40+ point D this season, and that should be more valuable than DeBrusk's 50 or so points. Thomas will be a top-six fixture by the end of the season, he's a must-keep for me over other forward options.

I think Debrusk will have a big year. Something like 30/30 and possibly more. He's on that lethal PP and if an intro occurs, he's on that too line to boot.

If you will not keep Debrusk, then you need to deal him. I'd prefer a deal that includes just picks or prospects that don't take keeper slots. DeAngelo would be your #4 D.
