From that list: Letang, Rielly, and Giordano. It hurts to lose Krug, but maybe you could flip him for something?

We keep 3 D, but I made a trade for Byfuglien, so I keep him no matter what.
What three would you keep of these:
Giordano
OEL
Krug
Rielly
Letang
I was runner up last season, so looking to compete again this season. I appreciate your responses.

Since you are competing this year, I would go with these 3 as well. I would just be aware that Gio is heading for a cliff at some point and may be tempted to hold onto Krug (who absolutely dominates PPPs). You may also be able to redraft Gio more easily than Krug due to Gio's age (only contending teams would look at drafting him)

Thanks guys. Just to clarify, I have Buff, he’s not included in the three I need to choose. I also can’t make any further trades, as our rosters are frozen until after keeper submission. I have very weak picks in the draft as well.

I think since you're already locked into keeping Byfuglien - whom I would probably be keeping anyway with your rotisserie setup - that's all the better argument to go all-in on the older guys with Giordano. There's nothing in Gio's underlying numbers that really screams regression, so he should be able to at least come close to replicating his 18-19 numbers with the same deployment. Another thing with Giordano is the fact that he doesn't have a ton of career games played despite being 35 years old. For comparison, Alex Edler is two years younger and has had more than his share of injury issues but has played in 19 fewer career games than Giordano. Shea Weber, who is approaching 34 years old, has played in 925 career regular season games.
Giordano, Letang, Byfuglien, Rielly is a pretty damn good group of defensemen in roto.

I agree with the sentiments above but really think OEL should be retained. He is only 28, has no competition for his #1 defender role, and can score 10 plus goals. He always gives you 40 plus points, plenty of hits, and one would expect the plus minus to get better with the additions of Kessel and Soderberg to round out the top nine.

Gio, Rielly, and Letang. OEL is younger, but has way less surrounding talent than the others. If you're competing, take the older guys.

Tough list. I think I take a chance on Letang having another decent season. He stuffs all the cats and has no real competition for the PP#1 spot.
Reilly is not the greatest category stuffer in rotisserie, but his point total should come at least close to last season imo. Likely less goals though.
Krug puts up great points too. Gio fills more categories.... OEL looks to have a strong season IMO but is still on the outside looking in due to his inability to put that aforementioned strong season together in a long time. I like him for a bit of a dark horse.
I think I keep Krug in the third spot. I just don't trust Gio to replicate or even resemble last season. I could be wrong but that is the way I think I would go.
So:
Reilly
Krug
Letang - roll the dice on his health

Letang is great in that format.
Reilly is young, and scores a ton. He also gives decent hits & blocks.
That leaves the 3rd spot, and you've got options. Giordano had a magical season, but I don't want to think he'll do it again. I like that Ekman-Larsson has the PP to himself, and he's solid. Krug also is a contender, as he's good as well. I prefer OEL slightly due to the better peripherals and health over Krug.

oh so 4 with buff..i would probably add Krug, this gives you 2 offensive dynamos from the D and 2 multicat studs. Giordano is great but getting old and last season feels a bit like anomaly
