Zibby all day. Zibby wins all cats but assists and its not really close here. Zibby is a premium multi-cat asset that should not be moved in most cases. Setting Kaapo Kakko next to him is only going to drive his value further up.
I have been offered to get Barzal for my Zibanejad in a 16 team dynasty league. Barzal is obviously very talented, but I don't think he's very well suited for this kind of setup.
How would you value them both in a dynasty league with G, A, SOG, FOW, HIT & BLK as the categories? Goals are valued more than assist
Do you think that Barzals point upside (mainly assists) outweighs the lack of SOG, HIT, FOW and to some extent even goals?
Zibanejad contributes in pretty much every category and should have similar opportunities as last year.
Who would you take?

I am a big Ziba fan but Im not sure about that one.. Barzal is still 4 years younger and thats a factor for me. His price could still go up(could get even better multi-cat player than Ziba) in a year or 2. Dont get me wrong Ziba is a solid player I even predicted his breakout season but even I was surprised by how good he was. 4 years ago he had 184 sog and 51 points, 150sog and 46 points the year before...just comapring him to what Barzal did at the same age.
I would pass or ask for a Ziba plus a high pick prospect. If the guy backs out, there will be someone else that will buy on Barzal sooner or later(specially if he has even better season)
Devils & Predators fan
I like Zib & Landeskog in multi cat leagues. Barzal's lack of elite line mates along with Trotz's system limits Barzal's upside in my opinion.
Zibanejad wins here by landslide. Barzal is weaker in multi-cat because he's unlikely to become a major goal scorer and he's weaker all-around outside of assists. Lots of playmaking centers suffer in multi-cat.

I love me some Barzal, but this is an easy one. Zibanejad is a premier multi-cat center, and with the influx of talent coming to NYR (Kakko, Kravtsov, Panarin? etc.) it appears his value is only going to increase in the coming years. Absolute beast when it comes to Goals, SOG, Hits, FW, etc.
