I'd keep Belpedio, though I would think there's a better option out there somewhere. I don't like any of these three.
Have to make a decision of who to keep to clear room for upcoming prospect draft. Can keep one of the following three dmen as a prospect. Which one in the multi-cat salary keeper league in signature?
Louis Belpedio
Jake Walman
Jordan Schmaltz
The way i see it is they are all about equal. I rank them as the following with my reasoning:
Belpedio - 23 years old. RD. MIN has 5 dmen under contract next year. 1 RD UFA(Hunt) and 1 LD UFA(Bitetto). Do they resign Hunt, or does Belepdio get his spot?
Walman - 23 years old. LD. STL has 5 dmen under contract nex year. The UFA/RFA are all LD(Del Zotto/Gunnarsson/Edmundson). Does Walman get a shot if they do not resign them?
Schmaltz - 25 years old. RD. STL RFA/UFA are all LD. After riding the bench and passing through waivers and being sent down, I wonder if he ever gets a chance in STL. He is signed for one more year and appears stuck.
I'd keep Belpedio, though I would think there's a better option out there somewhere. I don't like any of these three.

Agree, Belpedio if you're stuck, but there's gotta be better options.
What about someone like Capobianco

Head over to Dobber Prospects and check out the series of articles about PNHLe, an alternative to NHLe. I'm sure there's a promising prospect or two in those articles that are available in your league.

Belpedio is the best option, by default. Schmaltz being 25 and passed through waivers is a fantasy death sentence. Walman is lost in the wilderness and he needs to show something in the AHL before he becomes relevant in all but the largest leagues.
