Funny how often you choose to use the term “questionable” every time a Bruin makes a dirty play.

Okay, so the McAvoy hit could have justified a major for sure. I don't think it's as clearcut as some are making it out. He wasn't out looking to hit Anderson in the head. it wasn't targeted. It was incidental contact. In today's NHL however, that's a major. Is it the difference in this game? Maybe... McAvoy has been a game changer this series for sure. Hardly as controvesial as the major called on Vegas though.

Regardless, it's a borderline call in an elimination game against a polarizing team. It's going to get some major attention and how you feel about the play is going to be influenced greatly by your opinion of the team that committed the penalty.
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

It's time to add these incidents to video revue. Whats the harm? They review offsides that may be a centimeter offside and will call back a goal because of it.

How did this team beat Tampa?

This likely puts an end to my one playoff pool I had a chance to win. I'm strong on SJ, STL and CAR. The leading team has a 12-point lead and six Bruins.

When a team’s entire season is on the line in a 1 goal game with 20 min left the refs gotta make the right call then and there. The league suspending McAvoy isn’t going to help CLB at all if they lose tonight.

A 2 min minor vs a 5 min major + losing arguably their best defensive D-man is a huge difference.
Do you think the Eakin/Pavelski situation played into the refs decision? They probably erred on the side of caution.

Maybe. But as mentioned earlier in the thread they're wrong pretty often.

They screwed up the Vegas-San Jose call, doesn’t mean they have to screw this one up too. If the refs don’t have the balls to call the game properly they shouldn’t be there. I get what your saying though.

Of course it did... not even a question.

Guaranteed if they call a major here and Columbus gets the W because of the powerplay goals, it’s a whole other controversy. Refs were damned if they do, damned if they don’t on this play

Bring on the "Bunch of Jerks" down in Carolina!

I still remember Scott Walker scoring the OT goal in game 7 against Boston in 2009! Finally time for revenge!

First thing they should do is get rid of reviews of offsides. Second thing they should do is give each team 1 challenge on anything - get it right, you get the call. Get it wrong you get a penalty.
