playoff production doesn't always translate to regular season production (ask Claude Lemieux).
One's a perennial Point per game + player. The other wants to be.
With the recent play in the playoffs of both Stone and Malkin does Stone overtake Malkin as a keeper on my team? My thoughts are yes but I still feel they're close.

I don't think so. Stone will never rattle off 100+ in a season and that's practically Malkin's average pace. Obviously he's always hurt but even accounting for injuries, I think he's more valuable by a decent margin.
These next few months are the annual "Evgeni Malkin Buy-Low" period. Don't let that make you forget that he's one of the most dynamic and dominating scorers in the world.
Stone has had a four-game hot streak. Big deal.

Next year Malkin, however beyond that I think Stone starts overtaking in points. Stones put ppg two years in a row on a really weak team. While his ppg dropped post trade everyone settles differently. Imo that PP1 with Patches, Stastny, Stone, Theodore and one other will be a pretty deadly PP moving forward. Id definitely keep Stone over Meier if you are considering him as a keeper too.
since the lockout till now Malkin has missed over a ppg 2 times. 2009/10 and 2010/11.
if stone just missed a ppg next season no one would complain. If Malkin did , many would be disappointed.
Malkin will always miss a few games but most league's alow a fill in or ir spot.
I'd go with Malkin.

Geno for a few more years.
Not all situations are equal.. but a few years ago I was deciding between keeping Scheifele vs Kopitar, points only. Everyone said Kopi, so I went with Kopi, and then he proceeded to make this a horrible choice in hindsight while Scheifele blew up.
So I'm a believer in giving your own gut some benefit here, as well as factoring in which player you're more excited about owning. This is fantasy hockey, anything can happen from one year to the next..
I don't take any of the play-offs into much consideration. Logan Couture had 30 pts in 24 games the other year. Short tournament and lots of variables at play. Malkin is still a tier or 2 above Stone imo.
Stone's value has definitely increased since the move to Vegas, the new contract and the better production... but he still is not even near the Malkin level as far as keepers go.
Without me, it's only "aweso".
Your categories have PIM, which malkin will provide. Just for that, i would keep Malkin.
