Dudes, this guy worth looking at for a spot on my team? Possibly see him in CBJ next year? I'm not overly worried if he's maybe a year away, as you can see I am not really a contender for a while, just wondering if he's worth a gamble. Thanks everyone.

I'd have a hard time saying he'll be on the team next year considering he's turning 20 and hasn't played in North America yet. He's not a super prospect like Petterson.

Crazier things have happened though and he's a good prospect so who knows?

Everyone thought Necas would be an integral piece of Carolina this year. Maybe Bemstrom comes to the AHL next year... but I gotta think he's 2 seasons from making any fantasy impact.

If your pool has a shallow prospect pool.. under 100 prospects in total rostered. Then yes, I'm monitoring him. There are other players closer with similar/higher upsides. Jason Robertson is one I stare down as a diamond. He could be on Dallas next year... which probably means, at least 1 more year away.

Bemstrom has been rave reviews this year. Most goals by a 19-year old in the SHL this season and hasn't been given prime deployments. Great shot. I would lean towards him over Forsbacka-Karlsson.

Dropping JFK for Bemstrom is a no-brainer but there could be better prospects available in your league. Bemstrom needs another year of development most likely. He relied on PP for production this season (especially early on), still has work to do with his all-around game.

He didn't just lead the SHL in goals this year, he's the youngest to ever do it. He was one of Sweden's best players at WJC too. He's a quality prospect and he and Texier are probably CBJ's best. That said, he's a scorer and not a whole lot else at this point. Will definitely need AHL time but he could be a good top six goal scorer for them in a couple years or three.

Just wanted to get a take on him now that it’s closer to the season. It’s looking like BEmstrom is getting a chance. Even possible PP1 deployment.

When people suggest he’s just a goal scorer right now, does that mean he won’t likely get assists? When I watch raw footage of his play it definitely looks like he has an eye for the pass, just didn’t rack up huge assist totals. But then assists are very much dependent on quality of linemates being able to finish.

He’s not a big guy, but looks like he might get moderate hits and PIM also.

Seems like a lot to like long term.
