I'm not opposed to this if they intend on giving Crawford a shot at earning the head coaching gig. See how the players respond, etc. But if this is being done just because and they're looking elsewhere for their coach next year then... yikes.

Crawford's contract is up after this year as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see Troy Mann name the HC in Ottawa this summer.

I agree hes probly run his course but with 18 games left? I dont understand the move even if it was inevitable at seasons end.
