Whats the thoughts on Kevin Labanc? Im hoping he turns into another 6th round gem like a Pavelski but is that too optimistic?

Also thanks for all the info provided so far.....these forums are really helpful.

I watch him as I own him in my league, and I am very pleased with his evolution over the last few years. If Pavelsky and Thorton don't resign in San Jose next year, I do think Labanc could improve again with more ice time on the first two lines.
He is not the same kind of player than Pavelsky (he is more a playmaker than a scorer) but I see him reach 60-65 points frequently in his carreer.

As an owner I am a little worried at the acquisition of NyQuist bumping him off the top PP. Have to wait and see I suppose. I don't see him as a top pairing winger, more of a 3rd line guy for the future. SJ seems pretty stacked currently.

I think he's already a 6th round gem. That pick rarely results in much of anything. Getting to a Pavelski level is a big ask, but I see him as a guy you should be very happy to have on your roster long-term. Clearly capable of being a top 6 guy, and the Sharks seem to develop forwards very well.

I think he's got 60+ in him and 70 potential. dude just puts up points. He's a long term project. Well on his way though. Pavelski will be back, no one it seems ever leaves SJ willingly
