sorry should also state that it is a keeper dynasty league
just wondering everyones thoughts are on these two. Im thinking of trading for one of them and wondering who you feel is the better player now and in the future. Im in a multi cat league. thanks
sorry should also state that it is a keeper dynasty league
Will need to see your exact cats and your existing roster and league size etc for that one.
All things equal tho I'd take Pulock probably

I literally JUST dropped Montour to pick up Pulock yesterday...
So there ya go...
I like Montour alot, but the Ducks seem to have some bad mojo right now...
and Pulock kicked it up a gear this time last year... fwiw
Montour is going to suffer from a being on a team bottoming out and Pulock is on the rise. I'd pick Pulock.
Pulock easily.

Pulock showing some signs of a breakout. Go with Pulock
People are down on Montour because the Ducks are struggling. They wont struggle for ever and Im pretty sure this is a keeper league.
This is pretty damn close. Right now, considering how bad the Ducks are at scoring, Montour is just as successful in the point production compared to Pulock. Both have strengths and weaknesses over the other in the dirty categories.
To be fair, if you can get either kid, I think I'd be more than happy. Right now, I'd say its Pulock by a hair for me, but if the Ducks turn things around (and I believe they will in time, maybe not this year) I can see Montour being the better of the two assets.

thanks guys looks like pulock is a no go so if i want one of then it will have to be Montour. i did pick up Spurgeon who is having a very good year with dumba being out. i can trade for Montour by giving up sam steel not sure weather to do it or not. i would have to drop spurgeon to add him. my other defensman on the team are Ellis, Hamilton, Rielly and Klingberg trying to improve on my 3 lowest catogories PM,HIts and blks also we start 4 def
I think I'd give up Sam Steel for Montour in your scoring system. I think that Steel projects as a guy who doesn't contribute in PIMs/Hits, just goals and assists. They both would suffer the same negative effects from being at Anaheim's low point. Montour turns 25 this Spring, so his best years are still ahead of him. Spurgeon's good year is partially due to Dumba's absence.
Who are your other prospect choices? You may want to try someone with a lesser pedigree first.

im not able to trade for pulock the manager is unwilling to move him
I get that. That's not what I am asking. You originally asked who do we prefer between Montour and Pulock. You then said if you were to trade for Montour, you'd have to drop Spurgeon. What if he had accepted your deal to include Pulock? Wouldn't you be forced to still drop Spurgeon if that had happened?
So my question is, if he is willing to do Montour, why is that any different in regard to Spurgeon? If you aren't/weren't willing to drop Spurgeon for Montour, why did you ask who we prefer? If most here preferred Montour, and he was willing to make the deal, you'd still be dropping Spurgeon to make it happen, right?
