Thoughts on what type of value he has in a points only league. I was thrilled to snag him off the waiver, and he started off playing well, then went cold and got sent down. I know he's still young and was kind of thrown into the fire at the beginning of the year, but would anyone see him as being a 40 point plus D man in the future? Thanks all!

40 points potential, sure. He is the complete package. However, it is up to the other guys (Boqvist, also Gustafsson), if he is able to be more than that - whether he will get the top dog role for minutes in the PP etc. There is upside to be a real threat points- and fantasy-wise. But hard to tell if that potential will converted into high-end production.

I see him as a 40-pt dman in the future. I wouldn't read too much in his demotion to the AHL right now. The Hawks have a glut of lousy dmen and Jokiharju was waiver-exempt. There is a lot of talk that they will move a dman at the deadline and that they are showcasing Forsling. Joker is easily one of their top 4 dmen right now but they don't want to expose him to heavy minutes.

he's got the skills and ability to be a 40pt+ dman. but the hawks blue line is muddy at best in terms of knowing who will be the PP1 guy. There can only be 1 PP1 d-man between Boqvist, Joker, Gustaffson. The path just isn't clear.
