Is anyone away right now? Is everyone find with the 1-day waiver period, so tomorrow, and things open up on Thursday?

I just want to make sure we don't miss anyone. Otherwise, let's get at it!

I suggest you post on the league board what the plan is for post-draft waivers so that everyone knows in advance, in case not all are checking this thread regularly. I wouldn't object to waiting an extra day if it ensures people aren't surprised on how quickly waivers clear. I think it's best that all league settings' discussions should be on the league page anyway.

And yes that is how I assume it will work. Draft ends today. Waiting period is tomorrow. Absolute mayhem on Thursday

We have 12 teams already confirmed and 99.3% of the picks picked. I'll say 2019 is prolly not happening for you.

We have two picks remaining in the 300 player draft, so yes it's a little too late.

We can definitely message you next year when we're recruiting.

On that note though, for the current GMs, what do we think about outlining initially the possibility of trying to get two tiers going for next year? If we had 20 guys interested next February, we could run two leagues of 10, with the bottom two in our league this year being the initial relegation to tier 2.

If we don't get enough interest, then we just keep the one league as is, but I just wanted to get some thoughts/heads up on the idea of possibly relegating the bottom two?

2 tiers is fun. Gives a reason to not be last in tier 1 if you care.

I think the tier system needs to be driven by level of interest.

If you get enough teams to support it, great! If not, then you stick with a single league.

Just need to decide where that level is. Is a 14 or 16 team league too big? Are two 7 or 8 team leagues too small? The sweet spot is probably right around 8-10 per league, so 16-20 people need to be interested. I personally prefer the deeper leagues, but we'll see what we can get!

Absolutely! Love this idea. I love it so much I’d even say if we have trouble recruiting 20 guys maybe try and get two leagues of 8.

As for waivers and what not, I’m ready to go. Let’s get these last picks in and finalize rosters already!

I agree with all of the above. Two tiers if we can get it.

I think I would rather one tier of 16 than two of 8, but one way or the other, that would be the cutoff point. Not much else to be said until next Jan/Feb, but I just wanted to bring it up now in case it did become a thing, and we didn't have people in the last two spots caught completely unaware.

Without knowing if we will actually have two tiers next season, do the bottom two get relegated this season (if applicable) or will that format begin next season?

It would have to be next season....otherwise how would we know what teams come up to Tier 1?
