Site to Track A Player's Injury History?
Is anyone aware of a site that tracks the injury history for NHL players? Let's say I want to find out how many times Dustin Byfuglien has been injured in his career. Anyone know how I can do that?
Being able to find out how often a player has been injured will help determine the player's value in trade negotiations.
In a recent conversation with someone, I said that Byfuglien's injuries are starting to be a concern. I also mentioned how high I am on Klingberg. The other person mentioned that Klingberg had missed (at that time) two more games this season than Byfuglien.
Klingberg, prior to this latest injury, hadn't missed any significant time due to injuries in his career (I think, though I'd like to look that up also to be certain). Byfuglien, I seem to recall, has been in and out of the lineup with an assortment of injuries for a number of years now (I think, again I'd like to look this up to be certain).
I know you can look at the number of games a player has played each season, and assume that any missed games were due to injury. However, I'd like to know more (was it one long absence due to one major injury or multiple separate absences due to multiple minor injuries? was the injury concussion-related? was surgery required? did the player miss one or two games due to the flu and not an injury? etc.).
