Hey guys. Does anyone have faith that he rebounds next season and turn into a decent trade asset? Cheers

I'm somewhere between optimistic and fingers-crossed. I'm confident enough he can pull it together that I haven't considered anything but patience.
I don't know. His last good season was 2015-2016 and he'll be 33 next year. It could definitely happen and his contract will give him ample opportunity to do so but I'm skeptic.
If you own him, I'd wait for a good stretch of 5-10 games and look to move him.
I'd guess that he has one more year of hip recovery and then in 2020-2021, he has a nice year before age does him in for good.
With his contract the Devils will give him every chance to get back to himself. He will get a chance to reclaim the job down the road as there is a lot of talk that Kinkaid gets traded before the deadline. Unless Blackwood is lights out I think Schneider will get a lot of work. I also think they might want to keep Blackwood in the AHL and just bring up some bozo to be backup.

Not worth holding on to unless we're talking about a very deep league.

FWIW, I am optimistic in Schneider bouncing back. Yes, he's 32 years of age but that's hardly over the hill for a goalie. There's time for a rebound for sure.

he's on the wire in a couple of my pools.. I'll be watching his conditioning stint in the AHL & first couple NHL games closely... he could salvage his season.

(1) Great goalie;
(2) Had an injury which set him back; and
(3) Reportedly, he ages and does not become younger with time.
Plan the funeral.
Or, let's ask any Devils fan about that combination of factors.
IMO, when did "successful goalie" and "in their 30s" become mutually exclusive? Write off Schneider at your own peril.
