Dumba went down, so I am grabbing him off FA.

I am curious about his future in EDM.
Should I consider keeping him in my team?

He has been quite valuable with roto stats but with just 4 D and the other players you have I’m not sure that he’ll be much more than a Dumba replacement for the moment.

It's all about deployment.

What we are seeing now is the Nurse we saw in junior with SSM - but he was their number one guy on D. It is just recently EDM started using him on the power play and giving him top minutes - and the results are somewhat predictable. BUT....if they move him back to what we saw prior to all their injuries, he will return to that version of himself.

Tough call as nobody knows what EDM will do when they get healthy. If I was in charge, I would keep him where he is - he has the potential to be a dominant minute crunching stats stuffer for the Oil.

I've rostered Nurse for two seasons. He was a very inexpensive depth d-man for my team.Solid 2.0 FP/G in a multicat format that includes hits/pims/sog. Not much more of ceiling than that but I liked having him as a "break glass in case of an emergency" type player. I have noticed an uptick in production lately and this explains why. Here's hoping Nurse sticks on the top PP unit. That would be fantastic return in value if he does.

Is the Oilers "braintrust" too stupid to see the guy they have been looking for is already on their team and stepping into a big role? Yes. Lot of risk involved but if he pans out, there are some large numbers to be had. I am targeting him. Serious multicat and Roto potential here.
