Patty Kane, Evander Kane, ROR... Now Berglund - every year there's some odd situation coming out of Buffalo

Some things that could be happening:
-He HATES the city of Buffalo
-Something dire has happened in his life where he justified faking an illness to not play
-He hates the players on the team


When it comes to family emergencies, teams tend to be very understanding and will even allow their top young goalie (Matt Murray and Pitts) to take time off. So I'd find it very hard to believe it's something family health wise.

Drugs, maybe just personal hate towards someone/city? Apparently he was being shopped yesterday and teams were interested, but obviously nothing happened on that front. He is owed a lot of money so maybe teams wanted Buffalo to hold some of his cap hit, and they were not willing to do that.


Opens up the 24mill/3yr deal for Skinner though.

I have no idea what happened. But my first thought was something like another player slept with his wife/girlfriend or something along those lines. That's the only thing I could think of that might motivate him to walk away from 10 million bucks.

I find the part about missing the deadline to submit his no-trade list interesting. He was traded to Buffalo the very next day. This might be a lot simpler than the wild theories being speculated.
