Monahan is a FA right now in my league.
I am thinking about dropping Barkov for him.
I have many C options, so Barkov is the only droppable option I think.

I question the quality of the league, or smarts of the gm if willing to drop Monahan..I saw another thread where Barzal was dropped.

I would not drop Barkov. Dubois or Tkachuk would be my drop, but I would definitely pick him up.

I don't think Monahan is an improvement on Barkov but I also don't think he should be a free agent. I kind of get it because when you look at a 10 team league that only starts 2 centres there are going to be some really good C's available.
I'd try to scoop him by maybe dropping Domingue and holding Vas on the IR for as long as possible, while doing this try to make a clear 2 for 1 upgrade with Barkov as the main piece. Maybe Barkov or Dubois and Weber for a LW or D man upgrade, if that's an option.
