    Default Tarasenko vs. Benn

    1 year league, points only
how close are these 2 in terms of points.

pre draft i'd say benn is the clear winner, but this season appears that senko may have benn beat.
benn has been pretty underwhelming to be honest, and he's got 2 fights already which i don't like as I don't need an injury because of that.

    what side would you prefer

It's close now and probably ends close. I think I still like benns pedigree and that it's just a matter of time before that pp gets hot in Dallas. I wouldn't fault anyone for taking tank but personally I'd want a small add based on benns pedigree vs tanks pedigree over the last few seasons. In a one year I feel like it's close to a coin flip but I'd give a slight edge to benn on finishing with more points still.

I really think these two end up within about 5 points of each other.

I prefer Tank. STL has the deeper offense.

well, the fights really depend on whether you count PIM's or not (cats not listed)

I take Benn. For the simple fact he has 4 seasons above Tanks career high. One has hit 80+ twice and 75+ 4 times. Tank will cap out around 72-75 again.

It's funny you say Tank seems to have Benn beat this year

    Tank 16gp - 6g 8a - 14pts .875 pt/gm
    Benn 18gp - 7g 7a - 14pts .778 pt/gm

It's a rather small sample size. A multi-pt game (2pts) by Benn in his next game - would bring him to a .842 pt/gm.

it's a crap shoot. well... kinda

    But Benn's consistently outproduced Tank

As much as I'd like to have Tarasenko I wouldn't trade my Benn for him. Tank's career high is 75pts and Benn has been past that multiple times including last season. I still take Benn even though he's a bit older, and he should ramp it up as the season goes on.
