Default Need some quick goalie advice

    Hi folks,

I'm looking to get your thoughts on a goalie dilemna. I currently have Hellebuyck, Brossoit, and Darling and I need 3 starts per week. Brossoit plays very few games, so I'm planning to swap him out for Greiss. Greiss seems to have solid numbers and is getting about half the starts for NYI.

The issue here is that Greiss comes off waivers in about an hour and a half and I believe he will get scooped in my league pretty quick. I know I want him, but I still need to get my 3 starts this week.

Hellebuyck is starting tomorrow but there is chatter it will be Brossoit on Friday. Darling has 2 potential games this week, as does Greiss.

Do I pick up Greiss, drop Brossoit, and hope that between Greiss and Darling I get 2 starts out of 4 games this week? I don't want to sleep on Greiss and lose the opportunity.

Thanks in advance for your advice! Will rep!

Carolina has a b2b this week so I think Darling is guaranteed at least one start, and Winnipeg has two games so I think you'll be fine if you stand pat. Also Winnipeg has 4 games next week and the week after. I wouldn't recommend Greiss, since I think it's Lehner's crease, but I wouldn't fault you.

Greiss has been outperforming Lehner. This is a 1a and1b scenario. NYI ga is one of the best in the league. Greiss is a solid pickup.

Cheers for that insight. And between Rittich and Greiss; who do you reckon has more stability in being considered primary goalie?
    Cheers!

Smith will be given multiple opportunities to win the crease back... his salary says so. Greiss, makes 3m to Lehner's 1m... but really, NYI are likely to just roll with the hot hand throughout the season and flip flop. Griess is the safer bet to get you 40+ starts on the year.

All it will take is a Smith shut out to relegate Rittich back to back up role
