    Default Ovie/burns/3rd vs hall/klingberg/1st

It's a Dynasty cap league and I will be forced to make hard decision next summer having Mark Stone and E. Karlsson UFA's.

    I threw this offer :

    I give:

    OVIE
    BURNS
    3 Rounder

    I get:

    HALL
    KLINGBERG
    1ST Rounder

He's gunning for the championship sitting at 3rd and I'm 8th place...

    Looking for your opinions.

    Thanks

I understand you want to stock up and getting younger and improve a pick...but for the best fantasy D and Ovie....I think you can do better than this by a bit
    8tm Keep 7FWD,4D,1G
    3
    C,3LW,3RW,5D,2G (positional game played cap)
    G(3),A(2),+/-(1),PM(0.5),PPP(1),GW(1),S(0.4),W(4),SV(0.2),GA(-1),SO(2)
    C:Aho, Barkov, Pavelski(RW), Nugent-Hop(LW)
    R:Rantanen, Pasta, Konecny
    L:Guentzel, Gaudreau, Keller(RW), Benn
D:Makar, Karlsson, Sergachev, Dobson, Hronek, Sanderson
    G:Vasilevskiy, Hart, Kuemper, Kotchetkov, Husso

This is a really interesting deal. With both Klingberg and Hall you're going to save a TON (around 7-8 Mill) of cap for at least the next 2 years.

The drop off from Burns to Klingberg isn't HUGE but it definitely hurts. If you can replace those points (and then some) by adding a different player in a waiver/trade with the extra 7-8 Mill you'd be saving, PLUS the upgrade in the pick I think this could turn into a fairly big steal for you.

AND/OR it gives you the cap space to keep EK once his cap goes up.
    16 Team - Keep 5 - H2H Points
    Start: 2C/2LW/2RW/4D/2G - 4Bench
    G/A(1.25) STP(1.5) GWG(3) SOG(0.25) H(0.2) Blks(0.25) +/-(0.25) PIM(0.1) FOW(0.1)

    C: Malkin, Kopitar, Hartman, Johansen
    LW: Ovechkin, Pacioretty, Barbashev (C)
RW: Rust, Mangiapane (LW), Rodrigues (LW)
D: DeAngelo, Karlsson, Faulk, Morrisey, Myers
G: A. Forsberg, Price, Reimer, Holtby

I just want to say that I made a mistake (at work and replied quickly, my bad) and didn't really think about the cap implications. I think saucelife has really given a great measured response!

Ovie to Hall should replace most, if not all of those points... take the bump on the pick + cap savings... In a points only pool.. I would do this deal.

This is very true, I didn't mention them in my post because I was putting both Hall & Ovie around a PPG. But you're right, Hall may very well continue out produce Ovie going forward at this point in their careers.
