    Default Morrissey vs Dunn

    Goal =3
    Assist =2
    +/- (1 or -1) so important

    Dunn on the PP (for now anyways). Morrissey behind Buff... Neither would be a keeper. Going for it so just for this year.

    Who ya got and how much better is one than the other? Thanks.

    If this is a longer term situation I trust Morrissey way more. If you can stream in and out I have no issue using Dunn while his deployment lasts. I just don't trust that it will but honestly don't watch st louis an awful lot so you may want a few more opinions.

    I can't say I have seen Dunn play a whole lot, but what I have seen and from what others are saying, this guy does not look out of place on PP1. Morrissey is going to be a force, but it won't be this year, he is just buried too deep on the Jets blueline and PP1 opportunity will likely be very scarce. Dunn on the other hand is already there. Whether he can sustain this is unknown, but he hasn't stumbled so far. In a keeper I would want Morrissey for sure, but for this year, pts only, I'd be inclined to take my chances with Dunn.

    St. Louis looks like a volatile lineup right now. The coach could be fired if they lose another string of games. Pietrangelo looks like he's waking up in the last couple games. Parayko has been decent. I don't trust Dunn to stay on PP1.

    this is tough. The big thing is their 5x5 ice time - Morrissey's top pair. Dunn is 3rd pair. Really limited minutes outside of that PP (where's he's bloody well lights out). Dunn is the better offensive talent. Period. No knock on Morrissey, I just think Dunn has more of that natural skill set.

    For THIS season, I'd have to go Morrissey by a hair. that +/- comes into play a bit, but I prefer Morrissey's 5x5 usage over Dunn's. That's going to limit his totals. I would not be shocked (at all) to see Dunn walk with the PP1 this season.. he needs 20min/gm to really push himself into 50+pt territory though.

    This is my thinking as well. I was leaning Morrissey as 30+ points and a good plus in my league is on part with 40 + and a bad minus. Also, IF big buff for down, Morrissey is the guy.

    Cheers

    I'm seeing shades of Ghost's rookie season in Dunn. Don't miss the boat on this one.

    it's true.. (Dunn's second year it is) Ghost didn't have a Pietrangelo floating around him when he popped onto the scene. he came into an injury riddled D-core. Dunn has stolen the PP1 gig from a sleep-deprived Team Canada member - Blues #1 Dman. If Dunn can get 20+min a game and push his PP production over the next 10 games - then yeah, he really begins to cement himself as the break-out must own Dman of the season. He could very well find himself in a Shattenkirk-esque situation in Stl. - 2nd pair - #1PP. The upside of Dunn is real - the safety net of Morrissey is comforting.
