He's still on that PP and will stay there. He's a slow starter year after year. Safe bet for 50 plus points if healthy with upside for more...
Shooting volume is good; should increase
I know it is to early too panic, but Barrie is off to a pretty slow start this season and his ice time is down about 2:30 minutes per game. Hardly the sizzling 67 point pace he put up last season. Even his peripherals that have always been weak have taken a dip. I did not expect him to repeat last years totals, but he has been a .6 point per game player over the last 4 seasons.
Anybody watching Colorado games this season have any insight? My Forsberg for Barrie trade to start the season is not looking too good right now

There's a couple factors at play here for the Avs so far this season that are cutting into his point totals..
1. The Avs have taken (what I would assume from watching the games, because I've lost my shit on multiple questionable calls so far) a league leading amount of penalties. Averaging around 4 or 5 per game is 8-10 minutes of PK time (which Barrie doesn't play) so that would cut into his TOI.
2. The top line are not converting on PPs despite their high point totals to start the year, it's actually the PP2 who's burying most of the goals.
With that being said, he's still averaging 4 minutes on the PP so the points will start to come.

Barrie is on PP1 for the Avs, his points will come. FYI - I have him on my CBS team & I'm sticking with him. + I know if someone dumped him my league I'd snatch him up for sure. Too much upside potential.

a couple multi-point games will correct his projections. Barrie's point totals I wouldn't worry about. barring injury - he'll find a way to hit 55

Another game with Girard running the #1 PP? What the f@#!? I mean was a 67 point pace last season not good enough to be a power play quarterback in the league? No goals yet this season, but Barrie was just under a point a game pace (11 in 14) and he gets demoted? Barrie off top PP last 3 games. Avs lost last 4 games. Barrie a +9. I know he doesn't log the hard minutes, but still he logs over 20 minutes a night.
Sorry, just have to vent It is just so frustrating. These things are so far out of a fantasy owners control. I traded Forsberg at the beginning of the season for Barrie in the expectation that he would be one of my top D men. If he doesn't run the #1 PP in Colorado he is essentially droppable as it is a multi-cat league and Barrie does not fill any categories. I know this is likely not permanent, but it just seems so unnecessary. Barrie had incredible chemistry on that PP. He has also averaged 50 points a season over the last 4 years. He is not a flash in the pan type player.
Ah well. Who knows what is going on behind the scenes I guess.
Rant over.

I can't see Girard keeping PP1 over Barrie. I watched the game last night and to me it's not close.
Barrie will be back in PP1 shortly and his 50+ point season will commence
Its ok for Barrie to have a couple of games where he is looking at the Girard on the PP. my bet is the coach wants to light a fire under him. Let’s see how Barrie reacts, that’s what counts.
