Get a guy from within like Griffin or go out and get a seasoned Assistant in a big team like LA or MIL. I would do someone from within. Good and bad with that I guess.

I like the Raptors turning over every stone in their coaching search and they should be in no rush to make a decision. There are so many moving parts with this roster and with as likely a chance of blowing things up as there has ever been in the Ujiri era. Even if they don't make bold trades and move out some of the remaining aging core the team is still too shallow on depth to be a contender. The #1 quality to look for is with an eye on player development. Get back to building players out of nothing like they have with Fred VV, Siakam, etc.
I really like the idea of bringing in Kenny Atkinson. He had those Nets teams with no picks developing young talent every year and playing competitive basketball even at a talent deficit. Odds are this next coach isn't sticking around for a while because the team won't be good enough. Get a guy who will foster the talent development they need.
FVV has a player option, so I bet someone out there will pay him more than $22.8m, I dunno what you do with Siakam next yr (Bird rights are almost $50m), then you have OG with a player option next yr. GTJ has a player option this summer.
It's hard to think, but next yr the Raps top paid player could be Boucher and only have Boucher, Barnes and Koloko under contract. And with the Raps notorious difficulties with FA, it could be a tough few yrs.
(Next yr I mean 2024-25)

Nicky Nurse joins the Dark side. 76'ers bound ugh.

He's about to run Embiid into the ground. It's fine. He has a confrontational style when talking to staff and players, so I can't see him doing well with NBA stars if he doesn't change that.
He def won't work with Harden well if Nurse doesn't change and Harden comes back. He is a great coach though and should be in the NBA, but he needs to change his style otherwise he'll end up being the Torts of the NBA.

Can it be a choke job if you came back from down 3-0? Boston was AWFUL last night.
The Tatum injury early killed them. Showed really how much he means to the team.
Miami was taking awful shots at the beginning of the game too and Boston could have pulled away but they just didn't do anything either.
This is one of the bigger series chokes ever. No way should the series have gone to game 7, let alone Boston losing the series. I love me some Jimmy Butler, but Jokic and Murray are about to humble the crap out of Miami fans.

Thank god Boston choked last night. Hate that team.
Now time for Joker and the Nuggets to claim their first chip! Love that team.
Raptors have named Darko Rajakovic as the new head coach.

Gradey Dick was selected 13th overall by the Raps.
a 6'8" SF who could be the best shooter in the draft with his 3pt accuracy and shot-making ability. He can create a lot off-ball which means he could have some high scoring games if he gets hot in his rookie yr. His pro comparison is Kevin Huerter, Cam Johnson, Bojan Bogdanovich, or....I say this lightly and with obvious "perfect world", Reggie Miller.
His height and shooting ability makes him a potential issue for oppositions for years. But also sounds like he could make his career into a good 3 and D guy. I like the pick. Mostly because I know some announcer is going to mess up and say "A long 3 from Raptors Dick"
