Why is DeAngelo scratched?

Just wondering, the guy has 2 points in 2 games... yet he's still strached.

He's a bad D-men but he's great in the O-zone. Reminds me of MABergeron. I want to see what this guy could do with guaranteed PP2 time in a 10 games span.

There seems to be a rotation of sorts going on with their D. Pionk is averaging more than 20 minutes per game and he was scratched twice.

They've got a couple to many guys that are NHL level dmen. They are also in a spot where they probably feel they need to play the ones they are paying even though they may not be the best options anymore. This doesn't just apply to DeAngelo but Pionk too.

Yeah that's what I noticed as well. I'll still keep an eye on him, you never know.

Also it's true that nowadays the MA bergeron type of players are generally having a hard time. But there's still place for players like Yandle, Ghost, Klingberg, Shattenkirk etc.

I'm not saying Deangelo is close to their level. But the guys I mentionned are not in the nhl for their defensive prowess.

It is actually, but we can ''stash'' some players in the minors and keep them for later.

I'm good on the D side though with Ghost, Yandle, Vatanen, Montour, Theo, Cholowski. Montour and Theodore are bugging me a bit but I'll roll with it.

This should be enough to keep you out of the DeAngelo sweepstakes. He's branded as a depth guy.

I think the games DeAngelo has gotten into he's been the 7th Dman. Sorta like Vince Dunn in STL, he's been rotating in and out depending on 6D or 7D. But when they are in, they get PP time. I dunno if it's sheltering, or if if they are really just 1 dimensional and borderline players at this point.
