I like him but its unfortunate that he doesnt have the speed / extra gear in his toolbox to be a bigger all-round pest type of guy .
I guess I understand the million ovechkin or crosby threads, but isn't it more interesting to discuss guys like A. Wagner? Seems like every thing I see him do is pretty interesting. Is he really all "interesting" but will never have any finish though? I love going for guys like him who can cheaply fill out the #210-300 (#7-10) forward spot.
Anyone remember Oleg Petrov?

Watched him in the Kings season opener and he was flying. I like the 21 points in 22 playoff games including 16 goals in his first AHL season. I think he sticks with LA because of his speed. He's getting 3rd line minutes in his first 2 NHL games with 0 power play time. His competion for ice time is Tanner Pearson. He has to score in order to get more ice time including second wave PP time.
must have been pretty tired when I commented earlier in the thread thinking we were discussing Chris W
swing and a miss
i get them mixed up too

He's still getting under 10 mins most games yet has 5 goals and 7 pts in his last 9 and throws about 2 hits and 1 shot per game.
He's a hard worker that is willing to throw some hits and has a good shot, a sneaky add in leagues that count those cats.
I added him for a team that has no manager at the moment and kinda wished I did it myself

Good depth guy to fill peripheral stats and provide some secondary scoring. Bonus for cap leagues. His history doesn't suggest big offensive upside.

His AHL stats do look weak from last year but believe he was on the 4th line. He is just a 2nd year pro and his #s in the WHL weren't bad. Definitely don't think he's going to be a 50 point player, but if he can do this kind of thing with little ice time would be interesting to see what he does with 2nd/3rd line time.
But agree he is not gonna put your team over the top

I prefer Miles Wood

I'm in a really deep dynasty league, 42 minors spots , 20 teams x 42 = 800+ players, can also include depth players that pass through waivers first. Miles Wood was gone "miles" ago, my advice was for people in my situation looking for free players that aren't owned or on anyone's radar.
But in most leagues, I agree Wood is a much better option
