You rarely find anyone willing to take the prospect who's not in the league over a young kid with upside who's already playing in the league. That's not to say the guy who's not in the league (here, Jokiharju) doesn't have more upside and wont be the better player, it's just that unknown fact vs the known factor that makes it harder to recommend him.
For a points only league, I do like Jokiharju more then Slavin because I think Slavin doesn't have good offensive upside but at least he's playing in the league. Girard is the better choice vs Jokiharju because of the known factor and similar offensive upside.
