Ovechkin for Keller
In my Keeper pool I've been offered Ove for Keller and also Backstrom for my 12th over all (10 GMs).
I'm in a position where I could be top 3-4 and therefore into some $$. So I'm thinking win a bit now, Ove is 33 and sacrifice a bit of the future as Keller is 20.

IMO the whole point of fantasy especially while playing for money is to win now....No possible way I would deal Ovie is you plan on being in the money.
Hard to tell about the other deal not knowing who is available but knowing the little I do know I do not see you replacing Backstrom with someone you are going to have available to you at the 12.

Your trading for Ovi right? It looks like a points only with .5 bonus going to PPP. Ovi in this format is probably with the .5 bonus a 85 to 100 point player. Keller who comes with a little sophomore risk but still very good is anywhere from a 70 to 85 point player. I think Ovi in this format with the power play bonus probably stays ahead of Keller for at least this year and next. Then it could be close but very possible he's as good or better in year 3. I probably make the trade if I am you looking to win now, which you should always be doing in fantasy hockey.

this is tough... you're like 1-2 years away from Keller surpassing Ovie in points (imo) ... do you give up a future offensive dynamo for that immediate boost? Ovie's basically a lock for 75pts & 30PPP - taking him to 90fpts. I'll take Keller into the 70's this year, but closer to 20PPP - so you're losing at min. 5-10fpts. In this league, a player like Keller who has a legit 90+pt ceiling, I don't think I would move him for that immediate bump. Even if I were competing. I'd try to churn the bottom end of my roster to higher calibre and make up those points there, for a much lower cost - Think Patty Kane going into 2nd year - that's where Keller's headed

I traded keller, draisaitle , a 1st rounder and a 2nd for ovie and myers last year at our waiver draft..... and I won the regular season and the playoffs..... I do keller for ovie in a heartbeat if im going for the win here

Points only? I don't know. I think Keller will equal Ovi this year and surpass him easily in a couple.

Going for the threepeat in my keeper pool and I dealt Keller, Dubois and 2nd overall for Subban and Jamie Benn. Go for it if you can win

For straight up points, call me nuts but I take Keller over Ovie even this year.
Any other cats thrown in and it's Ovie no question.

This year was a comeback for Ovie; he had 69 and 71 points the 2 years prior.
