Default Pick 2 - JVR, Barrie, OEL

    12 team H2H league, keep 10, 12F, 6D, 2G, 3BN

    Stats are G-A-STP-+/--PIM-SOG-HIT-BLK / W-GAA-SV-SV%-SO

Need to keep 10, relevant team below:

F: Ovechkin, Mackinnon, E.Kane, Wheeler, JVR, Reinhart, Fiala
D: Subban, Josi, Barrie, OEL, Muzzin, Yandle
    G: Holtby, Fleury

Quality D will be available in draft so I'm probably going to keep JVR, but then which Dman after Josi/Subban makes the cut? Or drop JVR and keep 4 D?

    cheers, and thanks

I like OEL and JVR in your setup. Something about Barrie scares me, maybe it was because I picked him 1st in my redraft two years ago and he burnt me so hard. Either way he doesn't fill the cats like the other two.
    12 Team Keep 5 (2 F, 1 D, 1 G, 1 Any) G,A,PTS,PPP,SOG,HITS,PIMS,W,GAA and Sv%.

    F: Kucherov, K.Connor, J. Hughes,, J.Guentzel, A.Svechnikov,
    D: Q. Hughes,

JVR and Barrie, but it's close between Barrie and OEL so no really wrong answer/approach

Am I the only one intrigued by Muzzin? He doesn't have the scoring upside, but my goodness does his multi-cat play well in this scoring setup.

I like OEL, but not in your setup... not the greatest peripherals.
    H2H 14 team, 19-man roster, limited keeper (draft round matters). G / A / P / PPP / PIM / FW / BS // W / SV / GAA. My greatest wish: that Yahoo would offer DEF as a category.

I also like OEL but I disagree. Outside of his downer season two years ago, he's provided 200+ SOG, roughly 2 hits per game and block per game. He'll also give you decent PPP and even toss in some PIM. That plays very well in his setup. He might be a drag in +/- but I am one to generally punt that category.

If quality D are available in the draft and thus you keep JVR, I'd go with JVR and OEL. Muzzin is intriguing as well, but something about the new situation in LA with Kovalchuk tells me he might lose some PP time and his ice time also went down when Phaneuf arrived.

Yeah I really like Muzz too, but he'll be around maybe into late 3rd round whereas the other 3 wont be. I usually punt +/- so I actually view OEL > Barrie on peripherals. I just feel like Barrie could put up 35-40 STP this year.

Update: I got offered 5th round pick for Barrie. So I could keep JVR/OEL and snag a pick

Let us temper back that a bit. Kessel put up 42 to lead the entire NHL last year. On D, I'd say it's even harder to put up those numbers - ask Burns/Karlsson. I'd calmly predict Barrie for 20-25 STP...with a shot at 25+ -

What can you get in the 5th round?

It's close enough to take the pick.

    C. McDavid, N. Kucherov, R. O'Reilly, J. Schwartz, J. Toews, J. Huberdeau, T. Toffoli, M. Granlund

    Defense:
    B. Burns, J. Klingberg, R. Josi, J. Slavin
